WELCOME TO
SHABLAM
DANCE ACADEMY
Founded on the core principles of good ethos, consistency, professionalism, artistry and kind sportsmanship, Shablam Dance Academy was established in 2012 with a vision: to provide young people with the opportunity to realise their dreams through the creation of dance training.
With Modern, Jazz & Contemporary dance, Shablam Dance Academy caters to all ages and abilities.
We believe that success is achieved in developing raw talent to meet industry requirements. Equally importantly, is the encouragement we offer students to achieve their artistic potential. We are fortunate to have the support of teachers who instil a sense of integrity & inspiration through the quality of their work.
Please explore our site to learn more about our programs and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

THE TEACHERS
Artistic Director Allan Botha is a multifaceted entertainer, with a focus on dance and choreography. His impressive background includes collaborations with renowned recording artists and theater productions in South Africa, where his talent and innovative approach have consistently stood out. Additionally, Allan's extensive travels as a dancer and coach have earned him numerous world titles, further showcasing his exceptional abilities.
Cat Swart, on the other hand, has a deep understanding of the dance industry, having grown up in a studio environment and dedicating her life to mastering the craft. Her expertise lies in helping dancers comprehend the commitment and skill required to succeed in the profession. She has been a part of renowned dance companies in South Africa and has graced prestigious stages with her poise and elegance. Cat's contribution to SDA is invaluable, making her a significant asset to the organization.

HOW IT STARTED
Shablam Dance Academy started out by renting studio space in various suburbs of Johannesburg.
In 2014 we were able to settle into a permanent studio we could call our own for 3 years.
We were fortunate enough to relocate to a bigger and better premises and are now residing in a more central area of Johannesburg.
Even though SDA has always been seen as a small private intensive studio, no stage has proven to be too big for our dancers.
